On April 23, 2019, the International Microfinance Corporation (IFC), a member of the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association and the World Bank Group, introduced a measure called “Cost-Benefit Financing in Agriculture: a mechanism for lending to microfinance organizations”.
The event was organized for representatives of microfinance organizations, non-bank credit organizations.
The goal of the event is to inform microfinance organizations about the profitability of the agricultural sector in order to create a healthy agricultural portfolio, the need for financing in the framework of the value chain and risk reduction strategies. Microfinance organizations will also have access to information about assistive solutions and services that can help develop a cash-based credit model, as well as a less risky and more profitable agricultural portfolio.
