Listing (from the English list - list) - a set of procedures for the inclusion of securities in the exchange list (list of securities admitted to exchange trading), monitoring the compliance of securities with the conditions and requirements established by the exchange. Securities are recognized as having passed the listing procedure after the examination of documents and the inclusion of a security in the quotation list of the first or second level. Recently, Azerbaijan adopted amendments to the Regulation on listing, delisting and admission to trading of securities in the Baku Stock Exchange. The introduction of new conditions is an integral part of the implementation of the State Program for the Development of the Securities Market in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

       Securities come to the stock exchange not automatically, and not all of them can be admitted to the stock exchange. In almost all countries, in accordance with the adopted regulations, the issue of admission of securities to the exchange is decided by the exchange itself. If the securities of any issuer are accepted for sale on the stock exchange, then they are accepted for quotation and are included in the quotation list (or list) and are referred to as “list” or “listing”. And the procedure of admission of securities to trading on the stock exchange is called listing. This procedure adds to the issuer a greater marketiness and attention from investors, since the publication of data on the listed shares market allows investors and financial experts to get a complete picture of the market “behavior” of each listed issue of bonds, which attracts new buyers to these bonds.
An investor who buys securities included in the quotation list of the exchange can be sure that he can regularly have reliable and timely information about the issuing company and the market for its securities. He thus receives the opportunity to assess the prospects for the economic development of the issuer and the quality of its securities. Buyers (owners) of securities that have been listed and have a market quotation, as a rule, have an advantage in making reservations for their security as compared to securities that do not have such a quotation. Thus, it can be argued that any investor who chooses to invest in the listed values of stocks automatically acquires a full set of all means of protection offered by equity markets.
